Save this file to your hard drive then put a 1.44 mb formatted floppy disk in drive A , double-click this saved file using Windows Explorer. Files will be written to the empty floppy. This is a self extracting file that will create the Windows 98SE "Emergency Boot Disk". When finished use this disk to boot your machine. Select (from the menu that appears on the screen) "boot with cd-rom support" and continue til booted. The boot process includes the addition of a ram drive (D ) to hold needed utility files. Your cd-rom drive will have a designation of E or higher depending on how many drives are in your system. This bootdisk will enable about 99% of the ide/scsi drives on the market today.
