The restore disk that comes with the C1X in Win98 not SE. I have created a boot disk to make possible to access the CDrom drive under win98SE. You need to take a win 98se start up disk and copy a the file on to it. make sure to overwrite the files that are on the disk. The Oakcdrom drive is replaced by the Atacdrom drive to make it work. Boot with the cdrom support, and when the c prompt comes up, the cdrom will be at E . Now make sure that you have the win98 disk in the cdrom, and copy the win98 directory to the hard drive, then run the windows setup from that directory. Now it works. Good Luck!
