This is the link sent to me by Ricoh Tech Support for the ver. 1.70 firmware upgrade. Win98 should see your drive correctly after you flash the new firmware. Also, check your CD burning software for updates, as THAT is what defines what speed you write to CD-R's at, not Windows.
