Windows 98/98SE driver for Sony CRX-120UE external USB connected CD-RW drive. Includes extra update file for Windows 98SE users running an AMD 350 mhz or faster processor with VIA USB controller. This updates fixes the problem of the drive not being detected. Unzip file to temp folder. You will now have 2 files crx120eu_Win98.exe 98_240075usbupdate_via_amd.exe If your system has an AMD or faster processor and VIA usb controller, then install the 2nd file first (98_240075usbupdate_via_amd.exe). Then install the driver (1st file crx120eu_Win98.exe). If your system does not have an AMD processor and does not contain a VIA USB controller, then only install the first file (crx120eu_Win98.exe) After installation, reboot pc. Drive should be detected during bootup and be able to READ a data or music disk and should be listed in Device Manager under CD-ROM. Note You will still need to install compatible recording software before your able to record disks.
