Please read this carefully! After installing this driver you still need to use CD burning software in conjuntion with it in order to make it work. A product like Ahead Nero, (which is what I use) will work, BUT, you must enter a new Serial number into the Nero Rom Burning software to get it to work with the 8083B, that serial number is.... 5504-1713-2048-4796-2885-7148 .... after entering the new serial number Nero will recognize the burner. I don't know of other software that supports the 8083B since I have used no others but Ahead Nero on mine. If you need assistance with this you can e-mail me at mikelaflynn@lycos.com. Enjoy. PS, the 8083B is not a fast burner, just thought I'd let you know in advance.
